Why Displaced Journeys exists

Depression is one of the most common mental health conditions in the UK. Around 1 in 6 (16%) adults reported moderate to severe depressive symptoms, which is comparable to rates recorded in summer 2021 (17%) but higher than pre-pandemic levels (10%). Most people who suffer from depression have sought but not received support and help.

We listen to everyone’s unique story and offer a non-judgemental space for everyone to fully express how they feel and what they think. We cultivate the curiosity and insight required to guide individuals towards the solutions they already contain. You are the expert of your own life, so we will jointly identify and explore the adjustments required to have a meaningful and harmonious life in line with your values.

We engage with each person individually, encouraging open dialogue about what a good life means to them, putting equal emphasis on their strengths and abilities as well as their unresolved concerns. We support people in becoming independent and in creating healthy objectives and habits that can contribute to sustaining their mental and physical wellbeing.
